On August 2nd, we will be having an optional field trip to Salem, VA to watch a Drum Corps International competition. Drum Corps is the major leagues of marching band. These groups tour the country and compete each night from June to August, with the world championships held in Indianapolis during mid-August. This is a great chance to see this artform performed at the highest level just before band camp!
