Booster Weekly Update October 11

Hello everyone!
 
I hope everyone enjoyed Homecoming weekend at Albemarle.  It was a close, yet disappointing game, but the post-game show was really great!  I did get compliments on the show from Athletic Director Deb Tyson, who stayed to watch. Thanks to everyone for sticking around after the game to watch it and help out.  Back to competition mode as we prepare this week for Virginia Beach.
 
Hey!  Wednesday is a half day for students (in case you missed it)!  There will be a rehearsal schedule variation this week.

*** Dinner Notes ***
We will provide bagels, fruit, and water for our dinner break when we arrive. Students may also pack a dinner and bring it with them if they want something other than bagels/fruit.

It will be a long day and we're trying to be sure we feed these students before they perform, but, if your student thinks they need more, please plan for that.  There will be concessions for sale at the venue, but lines get long and they potentially will run out of food.  The students can always pack additional food (please keep in mind that they are not allowed to eat on the bus as they have to stay masked).
 
Volunteers - we need your help!
We are still very much in need of volunteers for next weekend's competition in Virginia Beach.  I did talk with a few different parents on Friday that indicated they were willing to help - please sign up online so we know who is helping out.  Not signed up? Please see how you can help the band by checking out the list.

I've broken up the truck roles into 3 groups to make it easier on everyone.  Really need some help at Virginia Beach and for our after midnight return.  Please see how you can assist!

Also, I am in need of a parent volunteer for the last home football game (October 29) to assist with some Senior Night things.  This ideally would be someone who doesn't have a senior.  :)  Please email me and let me know if you are interested and I will let you know all that is needed to be done.
